A true story of Love . begins.

The dress .

She wore The White Bustiere, exposed. From a little Vintage Shop, the lace was exquist. Still, she added pearls, sewn on one at a time, and an antique brooch just at the bust, making it her own.

The perfect snug fit, it held her heart tightly in wait.

The skirt, her own design, was sewn by hand. A gift from her Grandmother, every stitch, making more permanent her love for her. Layers and layers of toile and crinoline like wishes hanging in the air waiting to be granted, sewn together with thoughts of her own love of 50 years.

A beautiful keepsake.

Like the tryst between the waves and the shore, their love, playful and intense, gives an eagerness to explore .

as one.

Got legs?!

How to make bubble shorts from Vintage jeans

Start by cutting your jeans into shorts. Choose stretch denim jeans for this project. Then, using a ripper tool, rip the sides of the shorts at the seams to about 3 inches from the waistband. (shown). Do not discard the extra jeans material from the legs. You will use it to place panel inserts into the sides of your shorts and for the cuff at the bottom.

Cut 2 panels about 5 inches wide and 2 inches longer than the length you have already ripped at the seams. Make sure to use excess denim from the bottom of the pant leg for the panels. You will need pant leg material at the thigh to be intact for creating the cuff. Pin the panel to the inside of the side seams, making sure to separate the bottom, using the entire 5 inch width at the legs. (shown). After you have pinned the panel in place, go to your machine and double stitch around the full width of the panel at the edges that are secured with pins. If you prefer hand sewing, that works great too, using dual duty thread and some patients, double stitch for strength.

When finished sewing panels into both sides, turn the leg of the shorts inside out and trim excess material. Then turn back to right side and trim excess length from the pant leg. (shown)

Go back to your left over denim leg scraps to cut your cuffs for the pant legs. With the leg of the jeans still intact, cut across the thigh area. Make sure to cut each piece at least 4 inches long. You will be folding and pressing them before attaching them to your shorts. Now, fold and press the cuffs and set aside. This next part is the most tedious of the construction. You will need to gather the wide leg of the shorts and pin them to your pressed cuffs at the rough edges. Pull the cuff, rough edge facing down, over the top of the shorts leg. From the inside, gather and pin the rough edges of the shorts and cuffs together and sew. (shown)

After sewing (I like to double stitch and finish with a zigzag), remove the pins and turn the cuffs down for finished bubble short. (shown)

Riding Short . Redesigned from a pair of Vintage 70's jeans. High Waisted, Bubble Short, wrapped with floral sash belt~ can be tied in the front or back.

Chaps provide for a second set of pockets~ lined in same floral print to match sash at waist.

Lace Sweater Tube top . Started with Super Soft Girls Sweater. Cut it up. Added Vintage Lace Straps and Ruffles to the sleeves, and made it into this little curve hugging stunner.

She handles a crowd with ease, and yet, is clumbsy in her own awkwardness. Her innocents is pleasing~ and makes me curious.

A little shy when it comes to boys, she only hints of attractions. Just know she likes them smart, and funny is her handsome. She wants to talk for hours and laughs when he gets close. Nervousness is her constant when he's around. She bites her lip out of habit when taming the butterflies.

With two small children in tow, her life is a marathon. She divides her time between tending to her babies and grabbing an education in order to provide for them on her own. She inspires me with her unwavering optimism and love for life! She's clever in her choices, and doesn't settle. She knows she is an example for Bella and Storry and takes that responsibility with a seriousness not often seen in someone her age.

An Adventurers heart, her longing tends towards bad boys, loud music, and motorcycle rides along the beach. Knowing she loves deeply and forever, she holds fast to her realist side and staves off the impulse to run into the dark with the next tattooed hottie that comes her way. She knows that her choices do more than affect her and wants only the best for her young family.

Dating, her sexy is important to her, but she also knows that practicality makes sense right now. She needs clothes that are easy and flattering. Fabrics that are washable and camoflauge sticky finger marks and boogers are a plus.
